UPDATE ON CLINIC-SPONSORED GUIDE DOG

As followers of my blog will know, the Greenwich Natural Health Centre has been sponsoring the training of a guide dog called Cally. I received an update over the weekend that she has now moved onto advanced training and that she has been matched with her new owner. The next step is for them to start partnership training together, which will allow them to bond and learn how to work together,

Cally is a wonderful and gentle dog, and her trainer is confident that her kind nature will suit her new owner’s lifestyle. He is an elderly man who uses a walking stick. It took a little time for Cally to get used to working with the stick but now has incorporated it into her guiding techniques.

As Cally is nearly qualified, GNHC will soon start looking for a new guide dog puppy to sponsor. We trust that he or she will be as successful as the lovely Cally.
