CONGRATULATIONS…

… to all the expectant mothers I treated last year who have now had wonderful, gorgeous little babies. I see quite a lot of pregnant women in my clinics, primarily for issues relating to later-stage pregnancy.

However, there is one issue related to the early stage of pregnancy that women often want treated with acupuncture – pregnancy nausea and vomiting (or to give it it’s more well-known name, morning sickness, although symptoms are commonly felt throughout the day). A major study in 2002 (Smith et al) found acupuncture to be a simple, safe, effective treatment for this without any risk to woman or baby.
