NEW THERAPY IN THE MEDIA

I recently read a piece in a national newspaper in which seventies pop star, Leo Sayer, spoke about treatment he had been receiving for chronic digestive problems. This was the first time I had heard of this therapy. It is called BICOM therapy and apparently is administered mostly by acupuncturists. The aim of the treatment is to address any imbalances that result from toxins and irritants and pathogens.

In the piece, he talked of how the therapy aims to activate the body’s ability to regulate and heal itself, how it facilitates effective blood flow, and how it helps to nourish the muscles and nerves. This is all rather interesting but, from my perpective, pretty much describes what all acupuncture treatment aims to do.
